You Queensland is seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you will provide personalised care and support to individuals with diverse disabilities, focusing on their specific goals. You will support participants within their home and the community. Your efforts will ensure their safety, well-being, and empowerment while actively supporting their aspirations and participation in the community.
Employment support specialists provide direct, person-centered employment support to individuals, helping them secure and maintain employment while enhancing their independence, skills, and integration in the local labour market. You will work closely with clients to develop career pathway plans and prepare them for successful employment. You may support clients on the job, promoting their independence in the workplace.
The role of Support Coordinator with YOU Queensland is cantered around supporting clients to understand and implement the funded supports in their NDIS plans, as well as linking them to appropriate services. You will work in collaboration with clients and their families/representatives to build up their capacity to manage the supports within their NDIS plan. In doing so, you are tasked with going above and beyond to support your clients in reaching their goals through their NDIS plan.
In this role you will support people with psychosocial disability to participate more fully in the community and enhance their capacity for social and economic participation. You will assist in strengthening their ability to coordinate and implement supports in their NDIS plan.
You will assist in supporting their engagement with mainstream, formal and informal services while developing capacity and resilience in their network.
